Part 1: Departure from your hotel in a private minibus at 8:00 AM for a 1-hour and 15-minute journey. Your destination is My Tho, the "City of Beautiful Plants," the first gateway to the Mekong, located 70 kilometers southwest of Ho Chi Minh City. Upon your arrival in My Tho, you will start with a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda, the oldest and most sacred in the region. Part 2: Next, you will head to the port where you will board a private junk for a cruise on the upper Mekong River, circumnavigating Dragon and Unicorn Islands located in the Ben Tre Province. Small sampans will then take you through small waterways, where you will be enchanted by the local vegetation, coconut trees, and water palms. You will disembark in the Tan Thach hamlet and take a short walk to the village's homestay restaurant. Here, you will enjoy a lunch featuring Mekong specialties amidst the orchards. Afterward, you will resume your journey on sampans for a 20-minute cruise to a neighboring village. There, you will have the opportunity to taste local fruits and honey tea. Following this, you will hop on bicycles for a 2-hour ride along picturesque trails through rice fields, orchards, and coconut forests. At the end of the ride, you will take a rowing boat trip through the waterways. Finally, you will board the junk for the return journey to the My Tho port. Around 5:30 PM, you will rejoin the minibus for the trip back to Saigon, arriving at your hotel around 7:00 PM.
