Hanoi Old Quarter discovery (L)
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our guide and driver. You will be transported to your hotel for taking a short rest. Afterward, you will have lunch with your guide. The afternoon will be dedicated to exploring the 36 Streets of the Old Quarter. Enjoy a cyclo-pousse ride and a water puppet show in the late afternoon. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Hanoi and around (B, L)
After breakfast, you will set out to explore the Museum of Ethnology, which will tell you about the customs and traditions of the main ethnic groups in Vietnam. Outside the museum, typical houses of several ethnic groups have been reconstructed for an engaging discovery. Next, you will visit the Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. Your children can learn about making traditional Vietnamese toys, known as Tò he, which are crafted from sticky rice. Enjoy a lunch of specialties around Truc Bach Lake. In the afternoon, discover the Long Bien Bridge, one of the city's iconic landmarks in Hanoi. Enjoy fruit juice on a rooftop to take in the full depth of the bridge. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Hanoi - Mai Chau, the White Thai valley (B, L, D)
Breakfast at your hotel in Hanoi. Afterward, you will head towards Mai Chau Valley, an area where a significant portion of the White Thai ethnic group resides. You will be welcomed by a host family. Lunch will be served on-site. In the afternoon, you'll explore the village surroundings by bicycle before preparing the evening meal with your hosts. Dinner will be enjoyed alongside a traditional dance performance.

Mai Chau - Ninh Binh (Halong bay on land) (B, L)
Take your time in the morning after breakfast. Depart for Ninh Binh, also known as the 'Inland Halong Bay'. The journey takes about 3 hours. Lunch on the way. Arrive at your hotel in the afternoon. Later, set off on a bicycle to explore the surrounding countryside of Tam Coc. Visit the ancient Jade Pagoda. Dinner on your own and overnight in a bungalow closest to the karst formations.

Around Tam Coc (B, L)
Breakfast at your hotel and then depart for Trang An, an ecotourism site. A boat ride of over 2 hours awaits you to discover the famous karst formations. These landscapes have served as the backdrop for several American action movies like King Kong. After this visit and lunch, you will explore the Bai Dinh Pagoda, Vietnam's largest Buddhist complex. Return to your accommodation in the late afternoon. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Tam Coc - Cat Ba island - Lan Ha bay (B, L, D)
You will depart by car with your guide around 7:00 AM, heading to Cat Ba Island. It takes about 3.5 hours of driving to reach the ferry terminal. The ferry will take you to the island. You will then cross the island on a motorbike (our colleagues on-site will ride for you) to reach the Ben Beo pier at the southernmost point of the island. Lunch and sailing on our traditional junk boat (Four Seasons or Majonq). Kayaking and swimming in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board.

Lan Ha bay - Hanoi - flight to Hue (B, L)
We recommend you wake up early to enjoy the sunrise from the upper deck of the boat! After breakfast, you'll have a choice: a bike ride to the village of Viet Hai or cruising and swimming in a sheltered cove in Lan Ha Bay. You'll return to Cat Ba Island around 12:00 PM. The car will be waiting for you there. Return to Hanoi is scheduled around 4:30 PM. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival in Hue: greeted by our driver and transferred to your hotel. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Hue and handicraft villages (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will set out to explore the city with your guide. On the itinerary:
  • The Imperial City, the residence and workplace of the 13 Nguyen kings for 143 years.
  • The Mausoleum of Minh Mang – the Emperor well-known for having fathered 142 children with 43 concubines.
The afternoon will be more playful with a visit to one or two craft villages of your choice with your guide: a conical hat workshop, an incense stick factory, or a kite-making venue where you can create your own. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Hue - Danang - Hoi An old city (B, L)
Departure for the city of Hoi An! Along the way: stop to appreciate the spectacular view of Danang Bay from the Hai Van Pass; visit to the Cham Museum in Danang to learn more about the rich history of this people. Lunch in Danang. Arrive at your hotel in Hoi An in the early afternoon. Some rest, then a guided tour of the old town. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Hoi An (B)
You will have the day free to relax on one of the beaches and explore the surroundings of the old town by bicycle.

Hoi An - Danang - flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
After breakfast, transfer to Danang Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the southern capital (formerly known as Saigon). Upon arrival, an orientation tour in the city center, known as 'Colonial Saigon':
  • Ben Thanh Market - a symbol of the city.
  • Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office (designed by Gustave Eiffel).
  • The People's Committee Building of HCM City - the most beautiful colonial building in the city.
Lunch of local specialties. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Mékong delta exploration (B, L, D)
Departure by road to the Mekong delta - a world that is part land and part water at the southernmost tip of the country. Arrival in Cai Be, a small town situated on the banks of the northern arm of the Mekong River. Embark on a private sampan for a magnificent cruise on the vast Mekong River. Visit the Cai Be floating market, which is less touristy and authentic. Discover the unique 'river trade' of the local people in the Mekong region. Continue by boat upstream on the Mekong, an opportunity to observe life on both banks: brickmaking, rice drying, fishing... Arrive in Sa Dec, a lesser-known town in the heart of the Mekong Delta, where the famous French writer Marguerite Duras spent much of her childhood. Visit the 'House of the Chinese' described in Marguerite Duras' novel 'The Lover,' the Cao Dai temple, pagodas, and more. Lunch and overnight on board.

Cai Rang floating market - Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Early arrival in Can Tho, visit to the Cai Rang floating market resembling a colorful spectacle where numerous boats are laden with fruits, vegetables... and all kinds of goods for their commercial exchanges. You'll make your purchases and then depart for Ho Chi Minh City. Lunch en route. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.
