Arrival in Hanoi (L)
Arrival in Hanoi, the millennium-old capital of Vietnam. Visa formalities followed by a warm welcome from your local English-speaking guide, transfer to the hotel in the city center (room available from 2:00 PM) and a day tailored according to your arrival time. You will embark on the first visits of your journey in the city center, immersing yourself in the charm of the millennial capital (1010-2010). End the day with a relaxing massage session. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Hanoi - cultural discovery (B, L)
A day dedicated to discovering the most remarkable cultural sites and historical monuments of Hanoi: The Temple of Literature, a symbol of education and one of Hanoi's icons and The Museum of Ethnography, home to a collection of 25,000 ancient and contemporary objects that reflect the history of local populations. In the evening, enjoy a water puppetry show, a characteristic of Vietnamese culture recognized as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. Overnight at the hotel.

Hanoi - Ninh Binh (Halong bay on land) (B, L, D)
Departure for Ninh Binh - the land of limestone cliffs, sugarloaf formations, and rice paddies inundated by rivers and lakes all year round. Visit Mount Mua, climb 486 stone steps to the top of this bell-shaped mountain, which will reward you with a panoramic view of the Tam Coc region. Then, transfer to Tam Coc, go on a bike ride and relax while exploring this marvelous region. You will pass through villages and sugarloaf formations, enjoying the peaceful ambiance that characterizes this rural area. In the afternoon, take a boat excursion on the Ngo Dong River to explore Tam Coc. This long river winds its way through rice paddies, sugarloaf formations, and passes under three caves at the base of the limestone peaks. Your boat glides gently on the water, guided by local rowers, who will take you through enchanting landscapes. Discover Hoa Lu - the former imperial capital of Vietnam (960-1009), visit the temples of the Dinh and Le kings, nestled at the foot of a valley of rice paddies and sugarloaf formations. Learn about the history, especially the millennial conflict between Vietnam and Chinese troops (Kings Dinh and Le being the country's first victors and unifiers). Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Ninh Binh - Cat Ba island - Lan Ha bay (B, L, D)
You will depart by car with your guide around 7:00 in the morning, heading towards Cat Ba Island. It takes about 3h30 of driving to reach the ferry terminal. The ferry will take you to the island. You will then cross the island on a motorcycle (our colleagues on-site will drive) to reach the Ben Beo pier at the southern tip of the island. Lunch and sailing on our traditional junk boat (Four Seasons or Majonq). Kayaking and swimming in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board.

Lan Ha bay - Hanoi - flight for Hue (B, L)
We recommend waking up early to enjoy the sunrise from the upper deck of the boat! After breakfast, you'll have a choice: a bike ride to the village of Viet Hai or sailing and swimming in a sheltered cove in Lan Ha Bay. You will return to Cat Ba Island around 12:00 PM. The car will be waiting for you there. Return to Hanoi is expected around 4:30 PM. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival in Hue, you will be greeted by our driver and transferred to your hotel. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Hue - city tour (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will set out to explore the city with your guide. On the itinerary: The Imperial City, the residence and workplace of the 13 Nguyen kings for 143 years. The Mausoleum of Minh Mang – the Emperor well-known for being the father of 142 children with 43 concubines ; Phu Mong Village with garden houses – a fundamental element of Hue's imperial identity ; Thien Mu Pagoda, the most beautiful and most visited pagoda in Hue, or the tranquil Tu Hieu Pagoda where the tombs of Nguyen dynasty eunuchs are located. Depending on the time, you may witness the monks' prayer session. In the evening, enjoy a royal dinner aboard a dragon boat on the Perfume River. Overnight at the hotel.

Hoi An (B)
Full day at leisure for independent exploration of Hoi An's old town. You have the option to shop in the ancient quarter (lacquerware, handicrafts, etc.), including getting tailor-made clothing in silk shops. You can also take a bike ride to the surrounding countryside, where several traditional villages are located (vegetables, pottery, carpentry, etc.). Relax on the beautiful beaches of the East Sea (Cua Dai, An Bang...) which are located near Hoi An (weather permitting). Lunch and dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Hoi An - Danang - flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
After breakfast, transfer to Danang Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the southern capital (formerly known as Saigon). Upon arrival, take an orientation tour in the "colonial Saigon" city center: Ben Thanh Market – a symbol of the city ; Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office (designed by Gustave Eiffel) ; People's Committee Building of Ho Chi Minh Citythe former Central City Hall, the city's most beautiful colonial building. Enjoy a lunch of local specialties. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Mékong delta exploration (B, L, D)
Departure by road to the Mekong Delta – a world that is half land and half water at the southernmost tip of the country. Arrival in Cai Be, a small town located on the northern branch of the Mekong River. Embark on a private sampan for a magnificent cruise on the vast Mekong River. Visit the Cai Be floating market, which is authentic and not heavily touristy. Experience the unique "river commerce" of the local inhabitants in the Mekong region. Continue by boat upstream on the Mekong, an opportunity to discover life on both riverbanks: brick-making, rice drying, fishing, and more. Arrive in Sa Dec, a lesser-known town in the heart of the Mekong Delta, where the famous French writer Marguerite Duras spent much of her childhood. Visit the "House of the Chinese" described in Marguerite Duras' novel – "The Lover," the Cao Dai temple, and the pagodas. Lunch and overnight on board.

Early morning arrival in Can Tho, visit to the Cai Rang floating market resembling a colorful spectacle with numerous boats loaded with fruits, vegetables, and all sorts of goods for their commercial exchanges.
