We take you to discover the destinations that showcase the beauty of Laos: Luang Prabang and its surroundings, the capital Vientiane, and the Phonsavan region, located halfway between them, hosting the enigmatic jars dating back over 2,000 years.

Over an area of more than 1,000 km², gigantic jars from ancient times have been deposited, their meaning still a source of mystery!

Your guide will provide you with all available information so that you can formulate your own hypotheses!

Arrival in Vientiane et visit of the city (L)
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our guide, followed by a visit to Vientiane. We'll start with the temples Vat Pha Kaeo (the original home of the Emerald Buddha) and Vat Si Saket (housing thousands of Buddha images). Then, we'll explore Anousavari (Vientiane's triumphal arch) and Pha That Luang (containing a Buddha relic). Lunch will be at a restaurant in Vientiane. Return to the hotel for leisure time. Overnight stay in Vientiane.

Vientiane - Xieng Khuang (B, L)
After breakfast, visit the Vientiane market and the Revolutionary Museum. After lunch, transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to Xieng Khuang. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free time. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Xien Khuang - Plain of Jars - Phonsavan (B, L)
After breakfast, visit the city of Xieng Khuang, then travel to the Plain of Jars, known as one of the most mysterious destinations in Asia: hundreds of stone jars, some weighing up to a ton, scattered across various fields. They are dated to over 2,000 years ago, and their exact origin is still unknown. You will then continue the tour to the former capital of Muang Khoun with stops in ethnic villages. Dinner on your own and overnight stay with a local host in Phonsavan.

Phonsavan - Luang Prabang (B, L)
After breakfast, visit the local market in Phonsavan before heading to Luang Prabang by road. You will enjoy stunning landscapes along the way (approximately 6 hours of travel). Lunch en route. Arrival in Luang Prabang in the early evening. Dinner on your own and overnight stay in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - Kuang Si waterfalls (B, L)
After breakfast, visit the temples of Vat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful in the city, built in the 16th century, Vat Visunarat, the Melon Stupa, and Vat Aham. Then, you will take the road 30 km south along the Mekong River to reach the Kuang Si waterfalls, where swimming is allowed in the clear turquoise waters of the pools. Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at your hotel.

Luang Prabang - Pak Ou (B, L)
After breakfast, visit the Royal Palace, then cruise on the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves, located 32 km upstream. During the journey, stop at the whisky village where you will discover the rice whisky distillation process. After visiting Pak Ou, return to Luang Prabang with a stop at the village of Ban Xang Khong for weaving and making mulberry paper. Upon arrival in the city, climb the 328 steps to Mount Phu Si, located in the heart of the city, to admire the sunset. Then descend to the night market for shopping (silk scarves, carved wood, cotton fabrics, silver jewelry, etc.). Dinner on your own and overnight stay in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - end of the tour (B)
Early in the morning, around 5:45 am, you will depart in a private car to Ban Vat Sean to witness the morning alms-giving ceremony to Buddhist monks, with a long procession of saffron robes. Return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out. Then visit the local market before transferring to the airport for departure.
