The Parfum d’Automne junk is a 7-cabin boat offering the best value for money in Lan Ha Bay.
Each cabin features a private bathroom and magnificent open views of the bay.
Spacious and comfortable, they are ideal for couples or small families (for example, two adults and one child).
Three of the cabins, located on the upper deck, come with private balconies.

An English-speaking guide will be on board to share insights into local life and lead the activities such as kayaking, cycling, and cooking classes.
Our kitchen team has been trained to prepare fresh Vietnamese dishes, making the most of locally sourced ingredients from the bay.

You may book an individual cabin, or privatize the entire junk if you are a larger group (for example, 10 people).

Day 1

Hanoi – Cat Ba island – Lan Ha bay (L, D)

7:30 AM – Departure by bus from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter (if your hotel is not located in the Old Quarter, we will provide you with a meeting point).

10:00 AM – Arrival at Pha Got pier, where you will take a speedboat or ferry.

11:00 AM – Arrival on Cat Ba Island, then transfer by bus to the southern part of the island.

12:00 PM – Arrival at Beo Port.

12:30 PM – Start of the cruise.

Lunch is served on board around 1:00 PM, as you cruise along — a discovery of authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

1:30 PM – The junk anchors near Van Boi beach (or another beach) for lunch, featuring traditional Vietnamese seafood dishes.

2:45 PM – Free time for swimming at the wild, untouched Van Boi beach — no artificial structures here — or simply relax and take in the stunning views from the upper deck of the boat.

3:45 PM – The boat continues deeper into the bay toward Ba Trai Dao or Dau Be for a beautiful kayaking excursion — another unique way to explore the bay.

5:30 PM – The boat returns to the middle of the bay and drops anchor for the night. Free time to enjoy a drink and admire the sunset in a magical setting.

6:00 PM – Cooking class: learn how to make Bun Bo Nam Bo, a special Vietnamese dish.

7:15 PM – Dinner on board.

8:30 PM – Free evening or try your hand at squid fishing.

Day 2

Lan Ha bay – Cat Ba island – Hanoi/Ninh Binh (B, L)

An early wake-up in a magical setting around 5:00 AM to admire the sunrise over the bay — why not?

7:30 AM – Breakfast on board

8:15 AM – The boat continues sailing through Lan Ha Bay, getting close to the most beautiful limestone peaks and rock formations.

8:30 AM – Arrival at Viet Hai village for a scenic bicycle ride. Take your time to enjoy the stunning landscapes.

10:00 AM – Return to the boat. Time for a shower and to check out of your cabins as the junk heads back to Ben Beo Pier.

11:00 AM – Brunch/lunch served on board.

11:45 AM – Disembarkation. End of the cruise.

12:00 PM – Bus transfer back to Hanoi. The driver will drop you off at your hotel if it’s located in the Old Quarter, or at the bus company’s office otherwise.

FAQ

Is there a guide on board?

The Moonlight, Romance, and Quatre Saisons junks are small boats and do not have a full-time guide on board.

You can hire a English-speaking guide to accompany you on the boat. The guide will travel with you from Hanoi.

For all other junks, there is an English-speaking guide on board who will facilitate all activities during the cruise.

What is not included in the cruise?

Everything is included except:

Drinks (other than bottled or carafe water in your cabin)
Personal expenses
Tips for the crew

Should we tip the crew and the guide?

Yes, tipping is customary in Vietnam and depends on your level of satisfaction.

If you have a private guide, the expected tip is usually higher.

I'm vegetarian – is that a problem?

Not at all. Today, all cruise operators adapt to guests’ dietary preferences.

Just let us know in advance.

Is the transport shared or private?

By default, transport is shared.

If you choose a cruise in Lan Ha Bay, you will take a Daiichi bus to Beo Pier, then a ferry or speedboat to Cat Ba Island.

For Halong Bay or Bai Tu Long Bay cruises, transportation is provided by the cruise company’s bus.

If you prefer, you can book a private car (7 or 16 seats).

Can we go to Ninh Binh after the cruise?

Yes, it’s possible to go to Tam Coc (Ninh Binh) after a cruise in Lan Ha Bay, Halong Bay, or Bai Tu Long Bay.

This is usually arranged with Daiichi transport.

Note: from Cat Ba Island, the journey is quite long – allow more than 5 hours by road.
