Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Bangkok

Upon arrival at Bangkok airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Check-in and enjoy some free time to relax. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 2
Bangkok Visit (B)

After breakfast, we visit the Grand Royal Palace, dedicated to the ceremonial events of the Thai royal family. Within the same complex is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew, known for the Emerald Buddha statue. After exploring this complex, we continue to Wat Pho, a giant hall housing the Reclining Buddha.

Next, enjoy a stroll through Chinatown, considered the liveliest district in Bangkok, famous for its diverse regional specialties prepared with the freshest ingredients of the day. We then visit Wat Traimit, known as the Golden Buddha. Afterwards, embark on a long-tail boat for a cruise along the Chao Phraya River and its bustling inner canals, offering fantastic views of local life. Along the way, we stop at Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Return to the hotel for free time to relax.

Day 3
Bangkok – Damnoen Sudak floating market – Kanchanaburi (B)

Early in the morning at 7:00, we drive southwest of Bangkok to visit the Maeklong Market, which is unique for being located on a railway track. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a local snack at the market before heading to Damnoen Saduak, a rural floating market. Stop for a long-tail boat ride along the waterways at the picturesque Damnoen Saduak floating market.

Next, we continue the journey to the city of Kanchanaburi. Upon arrival, visit the World War II memorial, including the JEATH War Museum. Lunch will be served at a local floating restaurant near the River Kwai Bridge (free choice). Visit the Kwai Bridge, followed by a short train ride on the “Death Railway,” which runs along the Kwai River. Free dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kanchanaburi.

Day 4
Kanchanaburi – Ayutthaya (B)

In the morning, we will depart for Ayutthaya, which takes just over an hour to reach the ancient Thai capital. You will first visit Wat Phu Khao Thong, or the “Monastery of the Golden Mount,” located just outside Ayutthaya. Next, you will see the old palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet. You will also visit Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, home to one of the largest bronze Buddhas in Thailand. Lunch is at your leisure. Then, you will visit Wat Lokaya Sutha, a temple that houses a large reclining Buddha statue. Free dinner and overnight in Ayutthaya.

Day 5
Ayutthaya – Bang Pa In Royal Palace – Bangkok – Flight to Chiang Rai (B)

In the morning, we will visit the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, built during the Ayutthaya period. The palace showcases an eclectic collection of buildings blending European, Khmer, Thai, and Chinese architectural styles. It was the king’s favorite summer residence. Afterwards, transfer to Bangkok for the flight to Chiang Rai. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Dinner is at your leisure. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 6
Chiang Rai – Mae Kok Cruise (B)

After breakfast, we will visit the local market to discover regional products. Then, we will visit the famous Wat Phra Kaew, where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined. Next, you will visit Wat Phra Sing, home to one of Thailand’s most beautiful Buddha images. Afterwards, visit the remarkable Wat Rongkhun (White Temple). This masterpiece of Thai architecture was built in 2000 by the renowned Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat and features white concrete adorned with thousands of small mirrors. Lunch is at your leisure. In the afternoon, enjoy a cruise on the Mae Kok River to a Karen village, where you can observe and even feed elephants. Return to Chiang Rai. Dinner is at your leisure and overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 7
Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle – Chiang Mai (B)

After breakfast, drive to visit Chiang Saen, the ancient city located on the banks of the Mekong River. You will then visit the Opium Museum to learn about the history of opium in Thailand. Lunch is at your leisure at a local restaurant in the Golden Triangle. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip along the Mekong River to see where Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet at the Golden Triangle. Afterwards, transfer directly to Chiang Mai. Dinner is at your leisure and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8
Visit to Chiang Mai and Doi Suthep (B)

Breakfast is served at the hotel. The morning is mainly dedicated to a walking tour of the Old City, with stops at the ancient wall, moat, and one of the city gates. You will see Chiang Mai’s most beautiful temples: Wat Phra Singh, Wat Phan Tao, and Wat Chedi Luang. Afterwards, stroll along narrow streets lined with traditional houses and enjoy a ride in a rickshaw. You will then walk through the central Warorot Market.

In the afternoon, visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most famous pagoda. Access is via a staircase of 290 steps, with railings shaped like two giant nagas. From the terrace, enjoy panoramic views of Chiang Mai Valley. Continue with visits to local artisan villages, including lacquerware workshops, silk weaving, umbrella making, wood carving, and goldsmithing. In the evening, explore the night market at your leisure. Dinner is free, and overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 9
Chiang Mai – Hiking in Mae Sapok (B, L)

After breakfast, depart from your hotel in a private car for a full day of trekking through the White Karen villages. You will start with a walk through the jungle (approximately 2 hours) until you reach a village, where you can meet and interact with the local villagers. After about 1 hour of walking, you will arrive at a beautiful waterfall. Enjoy a relaxing swim followed by a picnic lunch.

In the afternoon, take a pleasant bamboo raft ride along the river. Return to Chiang Mai around 5:00–5:30 pm. Dinner is at your leisure, and overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 10
Chiang Mai – Departure(B)

Free morning until transfer to the airport or your next destination. End of services.
