Pu Luong

Overview

An Off-the-Beaten-Path Destination and an Ideal First Stop Near Hanoi, Pu Luong is a Natural Haven of Peace

Located in the districts of Quan Hoa and Ba Thuoc in Thanh Hoa province, 180 km from Hanoi, Pu Luong is home to the Thai ethnic minority and is a nature reserve that has almost everything to offer. Here, you can hike amidst grandiose natural scenery: forested hills, limestone karsts, pristine rivers and waterfalls, and sweeping terraced rice fields.

The province is focusing on developing eco-tourism with homestays and environmentally friendly ecolodges — a direction we can only encourage!

Our private tours, accompanied by a French-speaking guide from Hanoi or hosted by a local family in Pu Luong, ensure you a memorable experience in this region.

The rice terraces of Pu Luong are harvested twice a year, in May–June and again in October. Make sure not to miss this spectacular time of year!
