Overview

The Charming and Vibrant Capital of Vietnam

Between tradition and modernity, Hanoi will captivate you!

Located in the Red River Delta, Hanoi is the second most populous city in the country after Ho Chi Minh City, yet it remains the political, administrative, and historical capital of Vietnam. In 2010, the city celebrated its 1,000th anniversary, having been founded in 1010 by King Ly Thai To. Since then, Hanoi has served as the capital of Vietnam under most regimes, except during the imperial period when Hue was preferred by the Nguyen dynasty.

Hanoi therefore boasts a long and rich history, still visible in many of its landmarks: Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest in the city; the Temple of Literature, symbol of Confucian education; the Long Bien Bridge, echoing the French colonial era; and the Old Quarter with its 36 guild streets, the commercial heart of the city for centuries.

Our private tours take you through this historical and cultural Hanoi. At the same time, we also help you understand the modern transformations shaping a city in full expansion and constant change.

A visit to Hanoi can also be combined with nearby craft villages, where you can discover unique objects that contribute to the fame of Vietnamese craftsmanship.
