Itinerary

Day 1
Hanoi - Cat Ba island- Lan Ha Bay (L, D)

  • 7:30 AM – Pick-up by bus from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter (if your hotel is not in the Old Quarter, we will provide you with the meeting point).
    10:00 AM – Arrive at Pha Got pier, then take a speedboat/ferry.
    11:00 AM – Arrive on Cat Ba Island, transfer by bus to the southern part of the island.
    12:00 PM – Arrival at Beo Harbor.
    12:30 PM – Start of your cruise. Welcome drink and briefing with your English-speaking guide. Enjoy some time to admire the floating fishing villages from the boat deck. Lunch is served on board while the boat begins its journey through Lan Ha Bay.
    1:30 PM – The junk stops near Van Boi Beach (or another similar spot) for lunch and a taste of Vietnamese cuisine, mainly based on fresh seafood.
    2:45 PM – Time for swimming at Van Boi Beach, a 100% natural, untouched beach. Or simply relax and admire the breathtaking scenery from the sundeck.
    3:45 PM – The boat takes you further into the bay to Ba Trai Dao or Dau Be for a beautiful kayaking experience, off the tourist routes – a unique way to discover the bay.
    5:30 PM – The boat returns to the heart of the bay and drops anchor for the night. Free time to enjoy an aperitif and admire the magical sunset.
    6:00 PMCooking class on board (menu may vary).
    7:15 PMDinner on the boat.
    8:30 PM – Free evening to relax or try your hand at squid fishing.

    Note: The order of activities may vary depending on weather conditions.

Day 2
Lan Ha Bay - Cat Ba - Hanoi (B, L)

7:00 AM – Breakfast on board.
8:15 AM – The boat continues cruising through Lan Ha Bay, getting as close as possible to the most beautiful limestone peaks and rock formations.
8:30 AM – Disembark at Viet Hai pier. From there, enjoy a bike ride to the village of the same name with your guide. Once there, relax and enjoy a special foot massage!
10:00 AM – Return to the boat. Time for a shower and to check out of your cabins as the junk heads back to Ben Beo. You may have the chance for a swim. The boat then continues cruising back to Beo Harbor.
11:00 AM – Lunch is served on board.
11:45 AM – Disembark at Beo Harbor. End of the cruise.
12:00 PM – A bus will pick you up at the port for the transfer back to Hanoi. Drop-off at your hotel if it is located in the Old Quarter, or at the company’s office otherwise.

If you choose a cruise in Lan Ha Bay, you will take a Daiichi bus to Beo Pier, then a ferry or speedboat to Cat Ba Island.

For Halong Bay or Bai Tu Long Bay cruises, transportation is provided by the cruise company’s bus.

If you prefer, you can book a private car (7 or 16 seats).

Yes, it’s possible to go to Tam Coc (Ninh Binh) after a cruise in Lan Ha Bay, Halong Bay, or Bai Tu Long Bay.

This is usually arranged with Daiichi transport.

Note: from Cat Ba Island, the journey is quite long – allow more than 5 hours by road.
