3-Day Cruise in Lan Ha Bay aboard a Traditional Private Junk
The Romance junk is a traditional wooden boat sailing around Cat Ba Island in the heart of Lan Ha Bay. Boarding and disembarkation take place at the small Béo Pier, located in the south of Cat Ba Island.
The junk features two air-conditioned cabins, each with a private bathroom (shower and toilet). It also offers an upper deck with a shaded dining area, where you can enjoy your meals, as well as deck chairs to relax and admire the magical scenery of Halong Bay.
This junk is perfect for couples seeking romance, small families, or friends wishing to share special moments together.
With a capacity of 4 adults and 2 young children, the Romance junk provides an intimate and exclusive experience, far from the tourist crowds.
Whether for a honeymoon, wedding anniversary, or family getaway, this boat offers an unforgettable setting for peacefully cruising through one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
The driver will pick you up from your hotel around 8:00 AM for the transfer to Cat Ba Island.
Alternatively, you can take the bus from Hanoi (departure between 7:30 and 8:00 AM) to Cat Ba.
First, you will board a ferry to reach the island.
After the ferry crossing, to get to Cat Ba town (about 30 km away), where our junk is moored, we offer a one-hour motorbike ride with driver, taking you off the beaten path through beautiful scenery.
If you prefer not to try the motorbike experience, you can continue by bus.
Around 12:30 PM, you will board our traditional boat, the Romance junk.
The junk will first pass through Hang Vem fishing village in Lan Ha Bay. Sailing with the wind is possible depending on weather conditions.
This cruise is designed for relaxation, swimming, and enjoying the sun on deserted beaches (weather permitting).
You will also have the opportunity to go kayaking and visit a fishing village.
Lunch and dinner are served on board, featuring fresh seafood — fish, shrimp, squid, and shellfish — purchased the same day from local fishermen.
Overnight stay in a cabin on board.
Breakfast will be served at 7:00 AM.
This day is dedicated to relaxation and enjoying the scenery.
The crew will inform you of the scheduled times for kayaking and swimming.

“The agency took great care of us, answering all our questions and showing real flexibility. We went on a cruise in Lan Ha Bay aboard the Quatre Saisons junk. The boat was comfortable and clean, the food was delicious, and the scenery absolutely stunning. We didn’t come across many other boats along our route, which made the experience even more special. The activities were well organized and done in small groups, which we really appreciated.”
“Exceptional service and magnificent organized tours ! We’re Swiss and took advantage of Parfum d’Automne’s offers to visit Cat Ba, Lan Ha Bay, next to Halong Bay, and the Pu Luong region in the northwest mountains of Vietnam. It was fantastic! We met a lot of great locals, not least thanks to the guides and tours organized by the agency.”
