Essential Angkor Temples – 3 days

Overview

The archaeological site of Angkor was once the capital of the Khmer Empire, which dominated the Indochinese peninsula from the 9th to the 14th century AD.

Visiting the Temples of Angkor means much more than exploring the ruins of a single city – it is about discovering the remains of several successive royal capitals, each of which shone over the Empire for decades. It also means immersing yourself in a unique civilization and beginning to understand the state cult known as devarāja, which linked the king to the divine.

This three-day itinerary is designed to guide you through the essential monuments that have made Angkor famous worldwide: the grandiose Angkor Wat, the mysterious Angkor Thom, and other iconic temples that reflect the spiritual and artistic brilliance of the Khmer people.

A truly memorable experience, and a perfect extension after a journey through Vietnam from North to South!
