A perfect tour for travelers spending at least three weeks in Southeast Asia!
After your journey through Vietnam, extend your adventure with 6 unforgettable days in Cambodia, discovering the country’s most iconic destinations: Phnom Penh, the nation’s bustling capital; the majestic temples of Angkor, remarkable vestiges of the Khmer civilization; and the vast Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia.
This itinerary also includes a unique homestay experience in the floating village of Kompong Pluk, where you will be welcomed by a Khmer family. With the help of your guide, you will gain a deeper understanding of the traditions, rituals, and customs still alive in local daily life.
In just one week, you will enjoy a true essence of Khmer history and culture, blending discovery, encounters, and authentic immersion.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, and the National Museum (rich in statues from Angkor). Lunch at leisure in downtown Phnom Penh (your guide will help you choose a good restaurant).
In the afternoon, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21), then stroll through the Russian Market. Afterwards, enjoy a cyclo ride through the old colonial quarter, located between the Tonlé Sap River and Wat Phnom Hill, from where you can admire the sunset over the city.
Dinner at your leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

You will arrive in Siem Reap in the late afternoon, where our guide will welcome you at the station and accompany you to your hotel.
Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel, then the day will be dedicated to exploring the most impressive sites of Angkor. You will first visit Angkor Thom, built mainly by King Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th century. The name Angkor Thom means “the Great City,” and it stands as a testimony to the grandeur of the Empire.
After lunch (at your leisure), you will discover Angkor Wat, the monumental complex built by King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. This vast city was the spiritual heart of the Khmer civilization at the time. With your guide, you will decipher the many symbolic details carved into its architecture.
In the early evening, you will be taken to a dinner show featuring the Apsara dance, a true symbol of Khmer culture.
Return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel, then depart first for the local market in Rolous. There, you will meet Mrs. Ry, with whom you will shop for fresh ingredients (vegetables, freshwater fish, meat, and spices) to prepare a typical Cambodian meal.
Next, head to the village of Kompong Pluk on the shores of Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s “Great Lake,” where you will observe the life of the floating villages, traditional fishing techniques, fish farms, and even private crocodile farms. Each year, the water level of the lake rises and falls by 4 to 8 meters, flooding the land and forests of the region (from August to January). Depending on the season, we may be able to venture into these flooded forests by wooden canoe.
Return to Mrs. Ry’s home in Prey Monty village, where you will continue learning Cambodian cooking techniques with your hosts. Lunch with the family.
In the afternoon, enjoy a bike ride around the village, admiring the beauty of the Cambodian countryside. Return to Siem Reap in the late afternoon.
