Overview

Discover in Two Days What the Mekong River Brings to the People of the Delta

Several centuries ago, the lands of the Mekong Delta were inhabited by the Khmer people. Today, the Vietnamese state administers the 12 provinces of the Delta, in addition to one municipality – Can Tho, the region’s main urban center.

To visit the Mekong Delta is to experience a way of life entirely shaped by the river. Here, people navigate more than they walk! As waterways remain the main means of transport, markets are also held on the water.

Our private 2-day / 1-night tour will take you to discover daily life along the river and its colorful markets, including the vibrant Cai Be Floating Market. You will also have time to explore typical riverside villages and even spend the night there, as this itinerary includes an authentic homestay on the beautiful Thoi Son Island.
