Mekong Delta

Overview

Vietnam’s Rice Bowl

Discover what the Mekong River brings to its people.

The territories of the Mekong Delta were inhabited several centuries ago by the Khmer people. Today, the Vietnamese state administers the delta’s 12 provinces, along with one municipality — Can Tho, the main urban center of the region.

Visiting the Mekong Delta means discovering a way of life entirely connected to the river. Here, people navigate more than they walk!

We highly recommend spending a few days in this part of the country, so you can truly appreciate its unique lifestyle and sample its local products — especially the delicious tropical fruits. Since waterways are the main means of transport, markets are also held on the water. Our private tours will take you to explore these colorful floating markets, such as Cai Rang or Cai Be.

With us, you will also take the time to discover the typical villages along the riverbanks.
