Xuan Son National Park

Overview

A Biodiversity Stop on the Way to Northern Vietnam

Xuan Son National Park is little known and therefore rarely visited — yet it makes for a beautiful biodiversity stop on the road to Northern Vietnam!

Located just 120 km from Hanoi, in Phu Tho Province, the park is characterized by abundant primary forest set against stunning karst landscapes. Stopping here means enjoying a scenic walk through the park, taking time to fish, and even preparing a meal with local villagers from the Red Dao minority.

It is also a place to discover remarkable biodiversity: the park is home to no fewer than 665 medicinal plant species and 132 varieties of fruit trees and vegetables. To date, 880 animal species have been recorded here, including rare and precious creatures such as the Chinese pangolin and the flying squirrel.

Phu Tho Province is becoming increasingly active in promoting its natural attractions and encourages visitors to discover this beautiful park, with a strong focus on eco-tourism — a direction we wholeheartedly support!

Don’t hesitate to include Xuan Son National Park in your tailor-made itinerary to Northern Vietnam — you won’t regret it!
