Why choose a Dragon Pearl cruise ?

Away from the crowds
By choosing a cruise aboard the Dragon Pearl in Bai Tu Long Bay, you are opting for an intimate and authentic experience, far from the tourist bustle often found in the more crowded areas of Halong Bay.
Sailing through Bai Tu Long Bay is a return to essentials: you will discover majestic landscapes of limestone karsts, traditional fishing villages still active today, and secluded coves accessible only by boat.
Dragon Pearl offers a warm, small-scale setting where every detail is designed for your comfort and peace of mind. Far from large, crowded vessels, you can savor each moment: a silent sunrise on deck, a kayaking trip along the water, or a peaceful night lulled by the gentle sound of the waves.
Unique activities
In addition to kayaking and visiting the floating village of Vung Vieng, the Dragon Pearl cruise offers a unique itinerary that includes the Thien Canh Son cave and, on the way back to Hanoi, a stop at Yen Duc village to enjoy a traditional water puppet show. This is the only cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay that combines breathtaking landscapes with this extra cultural touch, making the experience not only scenic but also deeply enriching.

An English-speaking guide on board
Dragon Pearl cruises include the presence of an experienced English-speaking guide throughout the journey. This not only makes it easier to follow the program and activities but also helps create a deeper connection with the bay and its culture. The guide is available to answer all your questions, whether about the history of the sites visited, the lifestyle of local fishermen, or the unique features of Bai Tu Long Bay. Their presence makes the experience richer, smoother, and more personalized, especially for non-French-speaking travelers.
Dragon Pearl cruise in Bai Tu Long bay
The two Dragon Pearl junks (identical boats) are among the very few vessels allowed to sail and anchor in Bai Tu Long Bay, located north of Halong Bay. This gives you the unique opportunity to enjoy the bay in comfort, far from the crowds of tourists.
All cabins feature stunning open views of the bay and come with private bathrooms. Spacious and well-appointed, they are ideal for couples or small families (for example, a couple with one child).
We offer 2-day and 3-day cruises with overnight stays onboard. An English-speaking guide will be with you throughout the journey, ready to share insights about local life in the bay and to lead all activities, including kayaking, cycling, and cooking classes.
Dragon Pearl itineraries are off the beaten track and include highlights such as a visit to Thien Canh Son Cave, as well as a cultural stop on the way back at Yen Duc village to attend a traditional water puppet show — an original touch offered by no other cruise operator.
You can send us a request by filling out the form. This will provide us with all the information we need to prepare a detailed quote.
Further down this page, you will also find photos of the boat and the cruise, along with detailed itineraries for both the 2-day and 3-day programs.
