FAQ
Our answers to frequent questions

What is the best time to take a tour with a beach extension in Vietnam?

Vietnam stretches over 1,600 km from north to south, with varied climates depending on the region. If you’d like to include a beach extension, the choice of destination will largely depend on the season. From November to April, the South is best (Phu Quoc, Con Dao), with dry weather, blue skies, and calm seas. From March to August, the Central coast is ideal (Hoi An, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang), offering heat, sunshine, and little rain. In summer (May to August), you can also opt for some northern islands such as Cat Ba or Co To, though showers may be more frequent.

We adapt our suggestions to your travel period to ensure you enjoy the best possible climate.

What is the ideal duration for a tour in Vietnam with a beach extension?

To fully enjoy both the discovery of the country and a few days of seaside relaxation, we recommend a tour lasting 13 to 21 days.

In 13–15 days, you can visit the main highlights (Hanoi, Halong or Lan Ha Bay, Hoi An, the Mekong Delta…) and finish with 2 or 3 nights on the beach.

With 21 days or more, you’ll have time to explore less touristy regions while including a longer beach break of 3 to 5 days.

All our tours are fully customizable: whether you have a week or a month, we will create an itinerary tailored to your needs.

What budget should you plan for such a trip?

The budget depends on several factors: the season, the category of accommodation, the activities chosen, and above all whether you would like a private tour with a French-speaking guide.

As a reference, for a private 13–15 day tour with a beach extension, plan around:

  • From $1,620 per person (comfortable accommodation, excluding international flights)

  • $1,950 to $2,700 per person for a higher-end trip with 4-star hotels, a private junk cruise, and paradisiacal beaches

The Most Beautiful Beach Resorts in Vietnam

Our itineraries are fully customizable, and you may be tempted by beaches other than Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, or Halong Bay.

Here are, in our opinion, the most beautiful destinations to enjoy a beach extension in Vietnam — combining turquoise waters, local atmosphere, and an exotic setting.

Plage sur l'île Ti Top baie d'Halong

Famous for its limestone karsts rising from turquoise waters, Halong also offers a few hidden beaches, perfect for a break after a cruise. Some private junks even include swimming and kayaking in secluded coves.

Pitons karstiques Cat Ba

Less crowded than Halong, Cat Ba enchants visitors with its wild beaches, karst mountains, and peaceful atmosphere. It’s an ideal destination for a nature-focused extension, combining sea, forest, and small fishing villages.

Plage sur l'île de Co To au nord Vietnam

Still preserved from mass tourism, this archipelago in the Gulf of Tonkin offers white sandy beaches lapped by crystal-clear waters. Accessible from Halong, it is an authentic destination for those who appreciate peace and tranquility.

With its long urban beach lined with modern hotels, Da Nang is perfect for a comfortable extension. Easy to access, it combines relaxation, gastronomy, and close proximity to the Marble Mountains and the Hai Van Pass.

Plage de Hoi An

The ancient town of Hoi An is a must-see in Central Vietnam. Just a few kilometers away, its tranquil beaches offer a gentle escape. Enjoy a seaside hotel stay after wandering through the lantern-lit old town.

Plage Nha Trang

A lively seaside resort, Nha Trang appeals to those seeking comfort, water activities, and nightlife. Its climate is favorable for much of the year, and its resorts attract both families and couples.

Plage Quy Nhon vue du ciel

Still little-known, Quy Nhon is a hidden gem on Vietnam’s south-central coast. Deserted beaches, smiling fishermen, and delicious local cuisine… It’s an off-the-beaten-path stop, perfect after a more classic tour.

Villages de pêcheurs de Phu Quoc vus du téléphérique

The ultimate tropical island. Located in southern Vietnam, Phu Quoc offers paradise beaches, coconut palms, crystal-clear waters, as well as primary forests and waterfalls. Easily accessible by plane, it’s the perfect extension at the end of a tour.

Bateaux de pêcheurs, Ile de Con Dao, Viernam

Once a colonial prison, now a protected marine park, Con Dao combines history, nature, and stunning beaches. It is a unique destination for those seeking raw beauty, silence, and turquoise waters.
