Our Own Exclusive Junks

Lan Ha bay cruise
Our four junks in Lan Ha Bay
Booking a cruise in Halong Bay aboard our junks means choosing an authentic experience with a dedicated crew, in an area of the bay still preserved from mass tourism.
This region of Vietnam, commonly referred to as Halong Bay and opening onto the Gulf of Tonkin, is actually composed of two distinct zones: Ha Long and Lan Ha.
While Halong Bay has long been a must-see destination for travelers to Vietnam, it has also become heavily frequented in recent years, with a high concentration of tourist boats.

Aboard the Quatre Saisons junk
Immerse yourself in the mysterious atmosphere of the Cat Ba Archipelago, recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in 2023. Here, you will marvel at fantastically shaped islets, carved with caves and hidden grottoes…
This unforgettable cruise includes moments of pure contemplation, kayaking, swimming, fresh seafood tastings, and even squid fishing (in season).
Departing from Cat Ba Island, you will also have the chance to explore the largest island of the archipelago, also named Cat Ba. As an exclusive touch from our agency, we offer a motorbike tour of the island following the ferry or speedboat transfer.

7 cabins
Parfum d’Automne junk
The Parfum d’Automne junk is a 7-cabin boat offering one of the best value-for-money cruises in Lan Ha Bay. Each cabin features stunning open views of the bay and a private bathroom. Spacious and comfortable, they are perfectly suited for couples as well as small families (for example, a couple with one child). Three cabins on the upper deck also come with private balconies, allowing you to fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
You can either book an individual cabin or privatize the entire junk for a larger group, up to 10 people, for an intimate and exclusive experience.
An experienced English-speaking guide will accompany you on board, ready to share insights about the daily life of the bay’s inhabitants. He will also lead the main activities, such as kayaking, cycling, and Vietnamese cooking classes.
Meanwhile, the onboard kitchen team has been specially trained to prepare fresh Vietnamese dishes, making the most of local ingredients from the bay to offer you an authentic and flavorful dining experience.

4 cabins
Four Seasons junk
The Four Seasons junk is the perfect choice if you are looking to explore Halong Bay on a traditional wooden boat.
It features three air-conditioned cabins of 10 m² with double beds, private bathrooms (shower and toilet), as well as one 10 m² twin cabin, also with its own bathroom. You will also enjoy a comfortable lounge and dining area with air conditioning and open views of the bay, plus a spacious sundeck equipped with six loungers, ideal for admiring both sunrise and sunset.
Whether you are travelling as a family or with a group of friends, the Quatre Saisons junk combines traditional charm, modern comfort and personalized service. It offers an intimate, authentic experience in a stunning natural setting, ensuring your cruise will be truly unforgettable.
The attentive and experienced crew ensures that every moment on board is unforgettable. They will prepare delicious meals tailored to your preferences and dietary requirements, allowing you to enjoy the best of Vietnamese cuisine while respecting your needs.

2 cabins
Romance junk
The Romance junk is a traditional wooden boat with 2 air-conditioned cabins, each equipped with a private bathroom (shower and toilet). It features an upper deck with a sheltered dining area, as well as sun loungers where you can relax and admire the enchanting landscapes of Halong Bay.
This junk is ideal for couples seeking romance, small families, or friends wanting to share special moments together. With a capacity of 4 adults and 2 young children, the Romance junk offers an intimate and exclusive experience, far from the large tourist crowds. Whether it’s for a honeymoon, a wedding anniversary, or a family getaway, this boat provides an unforgettable setting to peacefully sail through one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
2 cabins
Moonlight junk
The Moonlight junk offers authentic cruises in Lan Ha Bay, located south of Halong Bay. This traditional wooden boat, although older than our Romance junk, provides similar services and itineraries, ensuring a truly memorable experience.
The Moonlight junk is suitable for both private cruises and group trips. You can book the entire boat for an exclusive experience or simply reserve one cabin to share the journey with other travelers.
Onboard activities include kayaking, cycling excursions to Viet Hai village, Vietnamese cooking classes, swimming at Ba Trai Dao islet, and squid fishing depending on the season. These experiences allow you to admire the natural beauty of Lan Ha Bay while immersing yourself in the local culture.

Junk availability
The junks operate all year round, except for a few days during the Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tết), which usually falls between January and February (exact dates change every year). This means you can discover Lan Ha Bay in any season!
However, keep in mind that some periods are in high demand and require booking in advance: March, April, July, August, October, and November are especially popular among travelers. May and June, being very hot, are considered low season, so you will find more availability and flexibility for your cruise during these quieter months.
Private or Shared Cruises
The Parfum d’Automne and Quatre Saisons junks can be fully privatized, but you also have the option to book one or two cabins—in which case, other travelers may join you on board.
As for the Romance and Moonlight junks, we give priority to private cruises, making them the perfect choice for couples or families.
Junk Cruise Prices
Upon receiving the information provided in this form, we will be able to give you the best price based on the duration of the cruise and the number of people traveling in the group.
Is there an English tour guide onboard ?
Only the 7-cabin Parfum d’Automne junk has an English-speaking guide on board. The other junks (Four Seasons, Romance, and Moonlight) do not include a guide. However, if you book a private cruise, you have the option to add a private English-speaking guide.
Can we go to Ninh Binh after the cruise tour ?
Yes, it is possible to travel to Ninh Binh after the cruise. You can choose between a bus, which will take you to Tam Coc, or a private car, which can drop you off directly at your hotel anywhere in Ninh Binh (whether in Tam Coc or, for example, in Trang An).
Where do the bus drop us off after the cruise?
After the cruise, the bus will take you either to Hanoi or to Tam Coc (Ninh Binh). In Hanoi, you will be dropped off at the company’s office located near the Old Quarter. In Tam Coc, the bus can drop you off directly at your hotel. If your hotel is outside Tam Coc (for example in Trang An), the bus will drop you off at the company’s office.
How is the crossing to Cat Ba Island done?
The crossing is done either by ferry or by speedboat, depending on passenger traffic. During the summer season, when many holidaymakers from Hanoi visit Cat Ba Island, you will take the speedboat to avoid long waiting times for the ferry. Both options are safe, but you should expect a bit of waiting time during transfers. Upon arrival on Cat Ba Island, another bus will pick you up and take you directly to Beo Port, where your cruise will begin.
Can we bring large luggage?
It is absolutely possible to bring large luggage with you, especially since the Moonlight junk is private.
I don’t ride a bike — how can I visit Viet Hai village?
There are small electric cars that will take you to and from Viet Hai village. The cost is included in our service.
What is not included in the cruise?
A guide, drinks during meals, crew tips, and personal expenses
Should we tip the crew?
It is indeed customary to leave a tip, depending on your level of satisfaction.
Is water on board charged?
You will have a bottle of water in your cabin. Other drinks are charged, but of course, you are welcome to bring your own water with you.
I am vegetarian, is that a problem?
No problem at all — the onboard chef will adapt. Just let us know in advance.
